Angles and shadow
This one is about seeing an ordinary surface as shape first and structure second. A roof edge, a raised block, and a field of shadow lines become the whole composition once the extra detail is stripped away.
Perspective carries most of the image. The diagonals push everything forward, the central plane bends the eye across the frame, and the shadow grid gives rhythm and scale without needing any people or skyline.
Color stays warm and limited on purpose. Pale yellows and sand tones hold the light, cooler greys hold recession, and the darkest values are reserved for the shadow lattice so the pattern stays crisp and readable.
The fun here is simplification: keep only the planes that matter, flatten the rest, and let light do the storytelling. No landmark, no narrative scene, just a rooftop and a good shadow moment.
